The streetcar is coming back Feb 3rd! I'm excited. I like our little streetcar (though I'd like it even more if it was on the Eastside Beltline too).

I'm navigating a busted sidewalk tonight while watching cars sail by on smooth asphalt, fresh from a recent resurfacing.

Maintaining car lanes while allowing sidewalks to crumble is a choice. It's not inevitable, and the city can make better choices.

The Chattahoochee Works. Huge missed opportunity not having enough secure, micromobility parking. Given the site is on the Silver Comet Connector Trail. It's still drive-to urbanism, good design, but it's too auto-centric.

Talking about perfect timing: Aventon launched an e-bike trade-in program last Friday. They are offering riders a $200 bonus when trading-in an e-bike, *including Rad Power Bikes*, toward a new Aventon. It appears that the trade-in credit might be able to be stacked with Black Friday deals as well

Imagine a town with only burger joints and one or two salad places 20 miles away. It would be hard to say the evidence is overwhelming that the majority of the town’s residents prefer burgers to salads. To me, that’s the suburban/urban housing preference debated distilled to its essence.

The new fare collection system at Lindbergh Station and a redesigned Breeze card. (Courtesy MARTA) MARTA will replace its entire fare collection system over the next six months, with a goal of spring 2026 for implementation and customer transition. Officials made the announcement at a press call on Monday at Lindbergh Station, where the new fare technology has already been installed. The system will retain the popular Breeze name, but fare collection equipment, including Breeze cards and tickets, faregates, vending machines, and the mobile app, will be updated and modernized, along with fareboxes in later project phases.

Reminder that the ATL streetcar isn’t a failure. It’s just incomplete. Atlantas city government should be ashamed that the belt line streetcar hasn’t even laid down track yet.
