Honestly I always figured Congress would be more resistant to the president trying to nationalize municipal police. I guess that just shows the benefit of purging all dissent in your party.

So the latest sign of aging is that when people see me reading in public they’ve started asking if I’m a teacher instead of a student. I’m sure my thoughtful demeanor is also a big factor they’re failing to mention.

I've been relatively dormant on social media for a while. I enjoyed doing slice of life posting for a long time but it feels weirdly dissonant to post an amusing anecdote about a comedy of errors at the grocery store amidst the encroaching fascism.
