A direct interaction between the Chd1 CHCT domain and Rtf1 controls Chd1 distribution and nucleosome positioning on active genes
Abstract. The nucleosome remodeler Chd1 is required for the re-establishment of nucleosome positioning in the wake of transcription elongation by RNA Polym

Transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of transposable elements and their roles in development and disease - Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology
Transposable elements (TEs) comprise nearly half of the human genome. This Review discusses transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms that repress TE activity, how TEs escape this suppressio...

Integrator complex collapse: A mechanistic route to integrated stress response and disease
In a recent Cell article, Baluapuri et al. show that loss of the Integrator (INT) complex activates the integrated stress response via double-stranded RNA from incomplete pre-mRNAs, revealing a link to INT-related neurodevelopmental diseases and potential therapeutic targets.

Evidence of substrate control of Cdk phosphorylation during the budding yeast cell cycle
Control over protein phosphorylation timing is crucial for faithful cell cycle progression. Takacs et al. revisit existing qualitative and quantitative models for cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk) control of the cell cycle. They provide evidence of a third mechanism in which the substrates themselves contribute to controlling their phosphorylation timing.
