Donald Trump defaulted on a $330 million loan for his Chicago skyscraper. And it wasn't the only time he defaulted on a loan or failed to pay a bill.

WHO GIVES A DAMN?

It’s a public service, right there in the name. It exists as a public good for all the people in this country. It’s not supposed to turn a profit, you dolts.

Go audit the Pentagon and see what kind of return on investment we’re getting there.

The USPS faces a tight squeeze. With fewer people using the mail, it’s lost more and more money: $9 billion in the 12 months ending in September alone.

“Trump Takes America’s ‘Imperial Presidency’ to a New Level”? Really, NYT?
Why not:
“Donner Party Takes Need for Nourishment to a New Level”
or
“Actor Takes Dissatisfaction With President Lincoln to a New Level”

Anyway, a very good FOIA to file this morning would be for all emails and calls received in the last 24 hours by the immigration “judge” who issued the order.

The immigration “judge” allegedly sua sponte — meaning without any request by a party, which is obviously a lie given the circumstances — “corrected” the 2019 order to fix a “scrivener’s error” and order Mr Abrego Garcia deported.

Not surprisingly, Judge Xinis blocked that. What a corrupt act.

Weird quick of how the Indiana Senate votes:

If the gerrymandering roll call is 25-25 today, the YES wins because the LG breaks the tie, & gets it to 26-25.

But if it ends something like 25-23 for the yes... then it fails! LG cannot vote since there's no tie, & it doesn't get the 26 it needs.

"Bulgarians have also been frustrated over endemic government corruption and years of democratic dysfunction."

These maneuvers have NOTHING to do w/representing the NEEDS & INTERESTS of the majority of Utah’s citizens.

The American public is sick of games aimed at the annihilation of the voices of your perceived opposition.

This democracy will perish if VOTERS don’t elect new reps. w/greater decency.
Utah lawmakers are planning to convene in an unexpected special session this Tuesday. Why? To move the filing deadline for congressional candidates, to give the GOP more time to appeal the ruling that created a Dem seat.

- Brett "Roe is 'Settled Law' " Kavanaugh
- Amy "Confirmed 1 week before election" Barrett

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

For 50 years, the median wage of hourly workers stagnated or declined while the stock market and CEO pay skyrocketed.

Is it any wonder so many feel abandoned by the system?

People lose faith, and a demagogue fills the void. This is why we must fix the system.

The normalization of this madness is so quick that we’re debating whether a second illegal strike was wrong after an initial illegal strike with no proof of any crime and we’ve already seen just random murders of fishermen normalized with the excuse they’re running drugs, which isn’t legal either.

Yesterday the President fell asleep, yet again, during a televised fake Cabinet meeting staged so that each of his courtiers could heap praise on him, praise for which he couldn't stay conscious. He woke up just long enough to spew racism. Why is this not being treated as an emergency? >
