What the heck?
IMO after all my years in mental health I thought he came across manic and like he was in a panic.
As he got going his speech was rapid and pressured.
There wasn’t any truth spoken.
Expected the blaming of Biden since Joe Biden has been living rent free in his head.
He’s delusional.

If we had responsible corporate media, which we do not, every network would have cut away from this within the first 30 seconds or so, when it was clear that there was not going to be any newsworthy event taking place, just a rant from an increasingly addled, bitter, and delusional sundowning elder

Anyone who was looking for any new solutions from him got nothing; anyone who was looking for him to acknowledge how bad things are looking got lies about how amazing things are; anyone who was looking for leadership got a guy who seemed anxious and internally exhausted

Just a wall-to-wall disaster

It’s hard to believe Trump is motivated by a desire to promote democracy, given how much he is doing to undermine democracy at home, or by a desire to fight the war on drugs, given that he just pardoned the former president of Honduras who had been imprisoned on drug-dealing charges. wapo.st/4iZ7RuW
Opinion | Seizing Venezuelan oil tankers could backfire on Trump
More legally defensible than blowing up boats, but that doesn’t make it a good idea or policy.

Update: DOJ haw now sued 18 states.

My law firm has already filed to intervene to defend voters in 13 of the first 14 cases. We are working on the remains 5.

This is an insane effort by DOJ and we are a small firm. But we are committed to protecting free and fair elections in 2026.

More soon.
DOJ has sued Maine, Oregon, California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont for access to its most sensitive voter data.

My firm has moved to intervene in 10 of those cases. We are working on the last 4.

We must approach each day with these questions: What can we do to protect free and fair elections? How can we counter what the GOP is doing? How can we advance the voting rights of every eligible citizen and ensure their ballots are accurately counted and elections properly certified?

Do I understand this? Trump imposes high tariffs on China and other countries which forces them to buy soybeans, beef, and other farm products from other countries putting our farmers, who voted for him 3 times, in peril of bankruptcy. Now a $21B bailout. Sounds like the MAGA farmers like Socialism.

Here the thing: even if this deranged scheme is dumped as impossible (it is) The bad news about it will spread internationally. People will discuss the rumours with friends, family & colleagues & believe it’s policy even if it’s scrapped & decided against traveling to the USA en masse.

It's not a question of politics or party. Congress has a constitutional obligation to impeach and to remove a president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors and forsakes his solemn oath.

And there has never been a president who has committed as many impeachable offenses than this one.
There's a Hill bubble narrative, posing as savvy realism, in treating impeachment as some radioactive poison and so Democrats must squash any talk of it. But there's zero evidence for that. No polls back it up, nor recent history. It's all just pundit-brained conventional wisdom eating its own tail.

Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

This has largely been memory-holed but in Trump 1.0, he picked a big public trade fight with China. They retaliated by cutting off agriculture purchases, farmers got squeezed, Trump mailed them checks and had to go crawling back to Xi for a face-saving "deal".

Sound familiar?
