I should be able to finally publish my last monthly roundup for the year tonight, and start working on my AOTY list, which I intend to publish between Christmas and new years.

This roundup for November took a bit longer to get done, but I think you'll see why. Lots of good shit on there.

If Trump and the Republicans invade Venezuela, it means America has invaded Venezuela. How did we feel about those Germans that didn’t want Hitler to invade Poland? Remember them? No— as the world saw it, it was Germany that invaded Poland, and it will be America that invades Venezuela.

The only thing I bought today was a Brother DCP-L2627DW printer, and it wasn't even on sale!

I've been considering getting a simple laserjet for a while, and even though I've only printed a handful of pages for TTRPG stuff, I'm very impressed. Wonder how long it'll be before I need more toner.

You know, at this point, I genuinely want Nvidia to go bankrupt so that we get the disruption in the PC gaming graphics space that we so desperately need.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Wait, "infidelity"? With who?? There's literally no other person involved.

I mean, sure, if your romantic partner finds out that you'd rather talk to AI than with them it'll probably hurt your feelings and permanently change how you see the person, but don't call it infidelity. That's weird.
one of the more bleak aspects of ai chatbots is it’s starting to blow up real marriages

DOGE was always a very thinly disguised con to dress up data theft and extraction class destruction of federal corporate oversight as innovative, and it's important to remember that part of the reason it worked so well is that the press helped legitimize it

I used to work in electro retail, and I always recommended these to any customer who wanted a printer and was okay with monochrome prints. I see the advice still holds.

Presidenten i USA delte en oppfordring til å henge politikere fra opposisjonspartiet - og norske medier har ikke sagt NOE om det.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

I know Valve is already one of the bigger players, but I feel like this will be the push to finally end Windows' domination in the PC space.

Honestly, I think MSN was terrible. I even thought so back then. I was mIRC ride or die until that platform was thoroughly outdated, and then I hated my life using MSN until Discord came around.

I was intellectually aware that the years grow shorter as you age, but when you get to the point when you start going "oh yeah, that thing happened a few months ago" and it actually turns out to be two or three years ago, that's when it gets real.

Minne for livet!

If this is real, then these are the most cartoonishly evil people I've ever seen.
Laura Loomer is in the Middle East, apparently with the world's campiest Andrew Mountbatten Windsor impersonator. As if that region hasn't gone through enough . . .

Can't drop Spotify just yet though. I've amassed quite a huge library of music there over the years and I have nearly 200 playlists that I need to port over somehow, so I'll have to sub to both of them for a while. Hopefully I can manage the transition within the end of the year.
Ended up trying Qobuz as a Spotify replacement. So far I have to say I'm pretty damn impressed! I actually found an album there that I was completely sure would be too obscure for a relatively unknown platform.

✔️Windows app
✔️Android app
✔️Sonos support
✔️Webplayer for Linux

I might be set! 🙏

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.
