making a game in a genre that's for players who expect punishment is very fun because i can, for example, make some skill ROMs encrypted without explaining what that means or what will happen to their character when they try to equip or unequip them

Shining Force 3 is one of my favourite games I’ve played in the last few years. It does so much with so little. Few attacks, few spells, few items, small inventory space, limited actions per character. I especially love how special attacks activate semi-randomly in the place of critical hits

I've mentioned Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains before, but its Silk Road setting deserves more praise

It goes from Francia to Venice, Damascus, Baghdad, Tashkent & Chang'An, following historical events of ~750 AD like the Abbasid revolution, the Battle of Talas, and Tang Dynasty crisis.

Spectrum Next #Delphian progress: with a bit of movement code added, this is starting to feel like a game...😀 But I definitely need to add the radar display! (adds to To-Do list) As for ship AI, I think I can handle that okay. I did code a lot of ship AI for Elite: Dangerous after all...😉

FYI: turning off "Smart features" also turns off spell check and the promotions and social tabs. And more.

In effect, a lot of traditional tools in gmail are switched off if you don't let them upload your contracts, love notes, and sad messages to your friends into their plagiarism machine.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
