Had to put on the big sweater an hour ago. Now I've wrapped a wool scarf around my head and neck. I love winter and I hate being cold and also still have hot flashes. I can be comfortable for maybe 14 minutes at time.

I had coconut macadamia crusted fish for dinner tonight and the house smelled a little fishy so I lit a candle which smells a little too perfumey and let me tell you the combined odor in here right now is not great.

11 hour drive back home tomorrow. It will all be worth it to be back in my own bed.
I am really, really fortunate to have good family. They don't really get me and I don't really get them, but they are good. And 3-4 days is about all I can take with them.

I am trying to plan a trip to see my dad for his birthday in January and all the flight options just suck. Getting from Nashville to the Keys doesn't seem like it should be so challenging.

I love coaching and I'm really good at working with people to just...figure shit out. It's not always goal setting and change making, sometimes it's discovering new perspectives and learning self compassion.

Having a size 11 foot has been such a mixed blessing in this way many, many times.
Sometimes I will see a pair of shoes and say “oh no there goes $300 because I must have you” and then they don’t make them in my size so my bank account does a little sigh of relief.

My son (29) is here for the holiday and this is our 2nd year doing Thanksgiving at the Indian restaurant near me and it’s just the best idea. We have (store bought) pie for later and plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.

Okay I have made my colonoscopy appt for January. I've been avoiding it for the 5 years since I turned 50 for various reasons, but I'm promising my future self that we are getting it done next year.
