I'm here for the food and the sports. Please have tacos.
Like we usually say, run the triple.
i know the Bills are playing for a better seed but they should refuse to throw a single pass all game just to doom the Jets to this disgusting historic footnote

That was some damn fun (and stressful) football.

@hollyanderson.bsky.social just a big old salute for dropping some @themountaingoats.bsky.social lyrics in the pod

College football is wonderful because the 1998 Outback Bowl was something like 7 years before I became a Wisconsin fan, and yet listening to @celebrityhottub.bsky.social and @stevengodfrey.bsky.social talk about on their live show recording still set my teeth on edge.

That's an interesting turn. Probably better than firing off a counter release (a real good way to not get asked for comment for good reason)
Political and corporate spokespeople now regularly treat a request for comment from the mainstream media as an opportunity to drop a free ad into the middle of the story. Bad faith non-responses should just be discarded, with a note that they declined to respond to the substance of the question.
WH spokesperson Abigail Jackson said "60 Minutes should spend their time and energy amplifying the stories of Angel Parents, whose innocent American children have tragically been murdered by vicious illegal aliens that President Trump are removing from the country."

Three years ago, Bryson Barnes came into the Rose Bowl, leading me to find one of the greatest bio note I've seen: "grew up raising roughly 12,000 pigs in a barn in Southern Utah."

Barnes transferred to Utah State and had a nice year this year. He's playing his last game now.

Gotta iterate and push forward to new and professional levels of toxicity
Great hire for them. Environment cannot possibly get more toxic so it's actually all upside

Worst win now!
This is their worst loss in 20 years
The Steelers are specialists in being in situations at this exact time in the game where I think to myself "this would be their worst loss in 20 years"

0.0 percent chance. If the average person with minimal football experience got to 5, they’d deserve a medal.
been thinking about that “if you had 10 carries behind an NFL line, could you get a first down” hypothetical

and the trickier question is this: assuming you don’t slide, could you make it through all ten carries without fumbling
December 21, 2025 at 2:44 AM
That was a weirdly unsatisfying way for that to go
that’s why the uprights should be 1000 feet tall. leave no doubt!

OK, this picture is coming more into focus.

Basically the, "we're gonna fire you for being too messy" approach.

8 AM walking through Harris Teeter was exactly correct time to learn about the values of the Gasparilla Bowl @celebrityhottub.bsky.social

A clear flaming light in the sky to say one thing: Mike McDaniel, deeply cooked.
[Schefter] A major move in Miami: the Dolphins are benching QB Tua Tagovailoa and turning to Quinn Ewers as their new starting QB, per sources.

Ewers’ first start comes Sunday vs. the Bengals. x.com/adamschefter...

Malort drunk-ass schedule.
NEW: The ACC says 12 teams will play nine ACC games next year, and 5 teams will play eight ACC games, due to contractual obligations and scheduling balance.

Here are the 2026 ACC opponents for everyone:

When I read this, I thought this was something that happened in like 2002.

John Mellencamp's dart club forever.
I did not know that Indiana built a shack on top of the press box for John Mellencamp to smoke in

THIS. SO VERY MUCH THIS.
Not to negate the information here, but I am once again asking people not to share survey data in the form of "a screenshot of a tweet of a screenshot" - it just makes it way more difficult to establish credibility/verifiability

(Survey is from July, link is here: news.gallup.com/poll/692522/...)

Me: how much something are the really doing?

(Watches 10 minutes)

Dang, that is a lot.
The Bills are just always doing something

"There are cathedrals everywhere for those with the eyes to see"

(But it's just fun football as I don't have enough scenes to track Army-Navy, FCS, D-II, D-III and a lil NAIA and HS)
By the way, can I interest you in last-minute goal line drama? NAIA has you covered...

What a beautifully stale idea. Like near petrified.
Also I saw Rece Davis suggest David Shaw as head coach for Michigan and respectfully what in the smoking blue hell is that as a concept

Or Zach Smith. Let’s go for blood here.
Where’s Brady Hoke and how fast can he get there?

I can’t emphasize enough how much you need to watch this until the end

But enough about that Cal game a few weeks ago (Go Bears)
SMU lost on a field goal at the buzzer
We quickly forget that SMU kept their spot in the playoff last year after losing the ACC Championship game at the expense of Alabama. Not being penalized for losing a conference championship game is something that SHOULD be happening. Otherwise why play them?
December 8, 2025 at 7:22 PM
My small thought on this is that the Alabama selection is essentially fine? Like it's a bit less sticky than Notre Dame (owing to the CCG thing), but the case for the Irish is just kind of weak, though a lot of folks are taking up for it.
The College Football Playoff committee got it wrong again.

Here's the now-annual breakdown of how the committee's inconsistent logic leaves everybody once again wondering if they had ulterior motives for the choices they made.
The College Football Playoff Committee got it wrong again
The Playoff Committee's decision making was so bad that I now have to defend Notre Dame. PLUS: Duke pulled off the funniest conference championship, we had the UPSET OF THE YEAR, and more!
