5 yrs ago next Tuesday, an American president who lost an election but refused to accept the loss incited a violent attempt to overthrow the election.
Instead of being treated like a pariah, that president was actually voted back into the White House, a much bigger condemnation of us than him.

The first Fantastic Beasts movie is a lot like the first Hobbit to me in that there’s a lot of “well ok this is ultimately not very good but you can sort of see how there’s the bones of something here and maybe the sequel can salvage it?” and then a sequel is just absolute shite
