Got news this morning that someone spraypainted "Watch out, Zionists" and "Al-Aqsa Flood" on Temple Israel last night.

We're in the middle of the high holy days of the Jewish calendar, with Sukkot having just started this week. This isn't activism. This is antisemitism.

Misspoke earlier when I said not signing is a veto--i checked and it's true that if Newsom does indeed never sign the bills, they become law.

Also, under CA law, if he doesn’t veto them they become law. He doesn’t need to sign them for them to go into effect. Newsom is trash, but this article missed some important details.

According to the findings of my brief search, a bill passed by the CA legislature but not signed by the governor will become law if he doesn't veto it within 12 days (please correct me, CA-knowers, if I'm wrong). But if that's the case, then what's his game, here? Why let them pass without signing?

The pharma industry was chuffed, as they got to bring staple generic drugs back under patent because they had a new HFA propellant. My albuterol inhalers only recently got cheap again. I'm disappointed to learn there's still a greenhouse emissions problem with the inhalers. 2/

I was diagnosed with asthma in 1st grade (1985). When I was a kid, the propellant in inhalers was CFCs. These were banned by the 1987 Montreal Protocol due to their role in ozone depletion, and phased out in the 00s. 1/
