Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Trump's cold-blooded belittling of British and other non-US Nato sacrifices in Afghanistan apparently leading all British broadcast bulletins. Trump lied to avoid military service. Hopefully his diatribe will boomerang onto Nigel Farage.

There were 35 US strikes on Caribbean boats between Sept 2 and Jan 3 (one every 3 days). None in the 21 days since then. Funny that.

Until today, Helsinki was our worst moment in public diplomacy, but this is the new Hall of Famer
At this point, has America ever had a more embarrassing moment on the global stage in our history? I certainly can’t think of one.

It is not up to the armed forces to put a stop to Trump’s ghastly ideas of war against NATO. The United States is not run by the military, nor should it be. Americans, and their elected representatives, must take this burden away from the armed forces—now.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

America's enemies knew all about the checks & balances, so they slowly corrupted everyone in charge of those checks & balances.
The media is no help, they put maximum effort into creating this tragedy so they'd have a tragedy to report on.
