Everything is potentially interesting.
I would think most philosophers would agree in some degree with these. Still, there're some degenerates out there in search of "truth".
Sunday read:
"Philosophy as Conceptual Engineering"

Amie L. Thomasson proposes that philosophy can focus on conceptual engineering: improving, refining, and constructing concepts to better serve social, legal, and scientific purposes.

This is so disgusting.

One of the biggest perks of the house I rent is that it has a side garden with a 4m pine that we get to decorate, and that everyone can see.

Every so often I'm reminded of the genius of The Grinch. Like, yes, there are some adults that will hate on you for having fun with your family and community.
Bluesky is an excellent source of grinchy takes.

What happens when the heat is not needed? Does the neighbourhood get an extra warm summer? Extra water consumption?
Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

Can our memories ever be unfair or unjust? Today at The Memory Palace, Kathy Puddfoot explores the concept of "mnemonic injustice" and how our memories can serve a role in treating people with justice.

What is radical about this? besides the fried butter thing.
America is extraordinarily radical in that there are tons of different ethnic groups here, and we not only generally get along with each other, but the law treats us all equal equally, and we all do the same shit like eat fried butter.

What MAGA dares to ask is: what if we didn’t
Anyway the best I've ever felt about America was me (Jewish) standing in line with my friend and her daughter (Irish and Latina) to pet a baby lamb at the Minnesota State Fair alongside a hijabi Black woman and her daughter, an East Asian family, an African-American family, and some white people.

I wonder what the Norwegians and Elon might have in common
TESLA TROUGH: Tesla sales in the EU dived again in November: down 58% in France, minus 59% in Sweden, and down 49% in Denmark. Germany recorded just 750 vehicles sold in October. BYD sold more than twice as many cars. The only exception is Norway. @wired.com www.wired.com/story/why-do...
Why Don’t Norwegians Hate Tesla Like the Rest of Europe Does?
November’s Tesla registrations were down in France, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. Norway, however, is bucking the trend—thanks to a tax incentive system that will soon be rolled back.

Of course the editor-in-chief of The Economist is an Oxford-Harvard graduate. Only that particular combination could drive to publish something so brain-dead.
Donald Trump had reasonable concerns about how Joe Biden’s relatives enriched themselves through his service. Yet his own family is making the “Biden crime family” look small-time

Ok kids, this is how you become an adult: first, you have to purify your tools. Second, you have to purify yourselves, hands and feet in particular. Third, you need to wear the appropiate clothes.
Once you are ready, this is the proper order to the ceremony:

At this point I would take non-compatibility with Western Civilization as a compliment.
Trump is describing millions of immigrants and even naturalized citizens as “invaders,” “non-compatible with Western Civilization,” and candidates for “reverse migration”—a blueprint for total authoritarian population control.

I've been constantly surprised by the UK press. I had heard stories, but the reality is so much worse.
I don't think I've ever met a society so keen not to learn from their past mistakes. Institutional arrogance.
1. It would appear that in recent reporting, the BBC is now using the phrase "biological male who identifies as a woman" when they mean to talk about a transgender woman.

This is an incredibly demeaning way to talk about transgender women in news pieces.

BBC Now Calling Trans Women 'Biological Males Who Identify As Women'
These stories come in the aftermath of allegations that a small but mighty cabal of “LGBT reporters” had somehow seized control of the BBC and “censored” right-wing views.
