FYI, "led activities aligned to Hamas" is code for "we don't have evidence that he provided material support, which is the actual legal standard, so instead we are going to use this language to try to obscure the fact that we arrested him for activity protected by the First Amendment."
DHS confirms that it arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a former Columbia University graduate student. They say that ICE arrested him in coordination with the State Department in order to enforce President Donald Trump's executive order to deport student protesters.
