We had a nice AM walk after the storms. Staying on the path and listening to a few birds. Looking out for Copperhead snakes.

Just some suburban morning phone pics from our walk. The lovely Red Bellied Woodpecker was singing for a bit along with a few Cardinals. We also discovered a rare Osprey this morning and fungi. I really love the old tree with the woodpecker’s work on the trunk.

One thing that gets me is that the police in Chicago and LA and NYC and Boston have all been actively helping the fascist ICE thugs kidnap and injure people. The mayors of supposedly "blue" cities have no apparent control over their police departments.
At the Broadview ICE "processing facility" outside Chicago this morning.

Protesters here for this morning's action are gathering off 25th now that Beach has been fenced off.

A pair of men peering through the fence at ICE vehicles shout, "Get the fuck out of Chicago, you terrorists!"

If you voted for him, you're a fucking fascist. Period.

Go ahead and try to reach out to these motherfuckers, the ones who voted three times for that Il Duce wannabe, including most recently, after he tried to overturn the election he LOST. Yes, try your powers of persuasion to sway them.
If you voted for him, you've done this.

Cities without vehicles are more accessible, less congested, require less travel time, increase pollinator and human health, eliminate vehicle costs, increase the potential space that can be greened, as well as habitat, and offer more mobility! 🌱 Inhale the cleaner air, car-free cities win!
“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability & quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

Strongmen can't control large amounts of people. They only condition them to believe they have fewer options.

Condition them against their own freedom.

Propaganda makes you complicit in your own imprisonment.
