The biggest use-cases for AI so far seem to be killing children, driving people insane, and kids making deepfake porn of each other. I have no idea why this industry is treated even remotely credulously.

One thing I think people need to get used to is that not everything works out the way it did in the past and, indeed, new things are going to burst forth from this chaos that can be energising and, I believe, lead to better things. And at the very least we may see some smarmy perverts proven wrong

my main problem with the attitude of "butlerian jihad" or "killing the computer" is that it assigns blame to inanimate objects instead of the real people who very much can be held accountable who designed the computer to be this way

Same-sex marriage enjoys much wider support among the public. It was a movement that Republicans occasionally played significant parts in— New York in 2011 and Obergefell being examples. There’s also federal statutory protections on the books. And it would be a very messy right to dismantle.

i still hold that the most brilliant part of deltarune's story structure is the way it presents a protagonist perspective as a series of encapsulations:
in particular susie/noelle/dess being central parts of the plot and susie basically being presented as the protagonist of the narrative
