Stephen Rose tells me he has recorded an interview for Radio 4's The World Tonight this evening, probably to be on at around 10.30 p.m. It will include a performance of the piece on harpsichord, if I have understood correctly.

Since I am not, I hope, the target audience for such a phrase, I had assumed the 'Boriswave' was the new hairstyle of choice for what was once the 'blue rinse brigade'.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Delighted news of this is now spreading. Congratulations to my department colleagues involved in the project.

The interesting thing is that this is probably when Priti Patel's career peaked. She went on to become one of the most unpopular frontbench politicians within her own party, running for leader and getting few votes. Still, she got into the House of Lords, so I guess she thinks it was worth it.

Intrigued by the notion that "many people from minorities" find their own existence disturbing. Did they come here expressly to be the only Black face on the bus? Was that a life-goal? Or is Matt Goodwin making them up?

One of the reasons the figures have risen is, of course, Brexit. Competences reverted back to Britain and ‚taking back control‘ implies that someone exercises that control.

David is slightly unfair. There is a clear difference here.

Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

From what little I know about Euan Blair, he does not seem not to be right-wing. If this concerns his father, it would be difficult to be more right-wing.
cjayanetti.bsky.social
if that HIGNFY Euan Blair fuckup had been about a right-winger it'd have had full front-page scandal coverage in the Mail followed by frontpage coverage across the board for the next week, days of "BBC in crisis" headline coverage by the BBC, and parliamentary questions about Tim Davie's future
