I started watching the second AVATAR movie last night, and I can’t believe you didn’t tell me there’s a bit where the voice-over narration’s like, “And I got so good at speaking Na’vi that it was just like speaking English” and then all of a sudden everyone switches to English.

A fun thing that’s happening is that a neighbor is sending anonymous* voice messages to the Latino families on our block telling them my wife called ICE on them and that they should move immediately.
*Anonymous except for the fact that she has no idea how to conceal her phone number.

It’s good that ALIEN: EARTH ignores a bunch of lore that I only know from, like, game books and fan wikis because it means I can purge that clutter from my brain. A reminder that I really shouldn’t be hanging onto it in the first place.
