If I'm doing the math correctly, Musk's big pay packet yesterday could have made each of these now-dead people millionaires instead.
He is among the sickest men the world has ever produced.
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

Today we observe Indigenous Peoples Day! Unless you're Indigenous, we are all immigrants. And Columbus was a monster even by 15th century standards.

More than 1800 detainees are missing after the closure of Alligator Alcatraz. Their families and lawyers can’t find them and they’ve vanished from the ICE database. Feels like this should be a much bigger story www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

As of the end of August, the whereabouts of two-thirds of more than 1,800 men detained at Alligator Alcatraz during the month of July could not be determined by the Miami Herald.

You shouldn’t have to walk around with papers in the United States of America to prove that you belong.

All I can say is that this administration should understand Chicago is a place that’s going to protect its people.

Even against all of Trump's cascading attacks over the past seven months, it had seemed that up until now, our culture at large—the literal shows, movies, art, music, literature we consume—seemed somewhat siloed from Trump's fury.

But the end of Colbert marks a dark new stage.
Colbert's cancellation is a dark warning
CBS's decision marks a dangerous new stage for the culture at large.

Sen. Alex Padilla, the first Latino to represent California in the Senate, was assaulted and dragged out of Kristi Noem's press conference before being forced to the ground, cuffed and briefly detained.

All completely illegal, all completely racist, all very much happening.
Here's another angle from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin of Sen. Alex Padilla getting roughed up by law enforcement after he tries to question Kristi Noem at her presser:

“I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary. Because the fact of the matter is, a half dozen... Hands off!”
