Grind stays real – Víťa and @petrakompanikova.bsky.social went straight from the V4SDB Meeting 2025 to the European Brain Barrier Meeting in Bern, where Petra presented her work on the hindbrain choroid plexus. 🐁 Big thanks to the organizers and community for the warm first-time welcome! 😇 #EBBM2025

@cshlmeetings.bsky.social Brain Barriers 2025 is a wrap! It was an honor to co-organize this meeting in 2023 & 2025, a highlight of my scientific career.
I am amazed by all the great science presented by these awesome scientists over the last five days...the future of CNS barrier biology is 🤩 💫!

You know a paper is good when you get on your university VPN on a Saturday morning to download the paper/supp AND send it to a few group members saying 'look at this, this is relevant to...' 😆

🤩 paper in on extrasinusoidal macrophages in 🐭 dura from Marco Prinz's group led by Lukas Amann @uni-freiburg.de - this is a VERY comprehensive paper, lots to ❤️ but their role in phagocytosing dying neurophils at both the onset & peak of EAE neuroinflammation is quite interesting 🧪 #ImmunoSky 🧠
Immunofluorescence at EAE onset (left) or peak (right). Right panels depict 3-dimensional (3D) reconstructions of Ly6G immunofluorescence and additional DAPI+ (light blue) signal within IBA1+ cells. Images representative of three mice per phase. Scale bars: 50 μm (overview), 20 μm (insets).

Warum lese ich nirgendwo die Schlagzeile:

💯 agree! There should be an easy way for folks browsing @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social to share with their bluesky followers, scientists & non-scientists alike. An end-of-year present for us all! 🦋🎁

Now define skull-meninges-brain axis….🙃.. arachnoid barrier and glia limitans as second barrier in the way, right?
