I love defensive injuries, they’re really great and I think we should keep having more of them

“The New York Times collaborated with a white nationalist eugenicist hacker and agreed to keep his identity a secret to publish a Zohran Mamdani hit piece” is a way bigger story than “18 year old Zohran Mamdani ticked ‘African American’ on his Columbia application because he was a citizen of Uganda”

Arsenal deserve to wear the shame from how they handled Thomas Partey for a long time.

As supporters, we should be (and people are) demanding an explanation from the club.

There is so much work that Arsenal need to do going forward to begin to put this right and ensure it doesn't happen again.

If an unnamed Premier League midfielder does leave an unnamed Premier League club, it's because they couldn't agree a contract that suits both parties. I won't forget that and I hope the wider fanbase are louder and more organised if a situation like this ever comes around again.

Hakimi was charged with rape and nobody even mentions it.

Play on.

It’s disgusting.

A player at a Premier League club has been accused of sexual assault by four different women and has carried on playing.

We can't name him for legal reasons.

“It’s a systemic failure,” says Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England.

The player we can’t write about and football’s ‘systemic failure’ to deal with sexual violence
A Premier League player is representing his club despite facing accusations of sexual violence. And nobody can talk or do anything about it.

I think this is absolutely correct too. Use VAR to help the ref, overturn it and absolutely nobody has any issues. Totally understandable Oliver might have seen it as a more dangerous tackle than it was. But the tools are used to justify and deflect, it’s all about image.
I think people could do with cooling down a bit, but also, it is just a refereeing decision. If the people in the game (and I include PGMOL in this) stopped treating every mistake like the end of the world, so would everyone else.
