This is the normal.

I could write at length about it, but I also don't think I'm really qualified to do so.

So here's my loose opinion based on what I do know from history, on why this is a thing...
There were no trials for the soviet gulag system or berias crimes. Or for the deaths in the great leap forward. You need to be invaded for that to happen.

Apparently the goalposts has shifted with the demands on Obama. Him talking doesn’t cut it, now he needs to hit the streets to protest in front of them now. 😒

The Trump administration found civil rights violations the same way McCarthy found communists—by making them up.
This is absurd. @nytimes.com needs to find a better way to convey to readers what it knows to be true: These "findings" are not actual "findings" in any sense that most people would understand the word. The casual reader comes away with zero sense of the deep rot of bad faith at play here.

It's becoming increasingly clear is that the right wing of this Supreme Court is extreme even among federal courts. The district courts and appellate courts keep appropriately halting this shit, expressing appropriate outrage, and trying to hold the line. Then SCOTUS blows it all up.
NEW: The Supreme Court's conservatives halt a preliminary injunction that had restricted the Trump administration's ability to rapidly deport migrants to "third countries" where they have never lived and where allegedly face torture. All three liberals dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

Jon Finer, one of the negotiators of the JCPoA: "To people who say, how can you trust Iran? You didn't have to trust Iran under [the JCPoA]. There were weapons inspectors... all over Iran's facilities, and they were saying right up until the minute that Trump pulled out that Iran was complying."

For transit riders stranded in DTLA during the No Kings rally, I'm still trying to piece together what happened, but according to Metro, LAPD ordered the closure of the stations.

Here's Metro board chair Janice Hahn questioning the decision: "Is that up to LAPD to tell us to shut down stations?"

if you don’t want your ads to run next to nazi social media posts, the government says “too bad,” you have to.
The FTC confirms our scoop about an extraordinary political condition on this ad merger, aimed at preventing "collusion or coordination to direct advertising away from media publishers based on the publishers’ political or ideological viewpoints." www.ftc.gov/news-events/...
