The actual "worse than watergate" scandal is how much news media collectively worked to ratfuck a Democratic presidency by largely inventing health/mental acuity concerns for hyperventilate about while largely ignoring the very real & worsening issues in front of their faces from Trump

One of the most important lessons I think we taught in our vaccines class this semester is the history of both the vaccine court and VAERS and how they work. So important to understand the reasons why each was set up and, more importantly, their extreme shortcomings.
The director of the FDA is using unverified submissions to the VAERS database to claim the Covid vaccine resulted in 10 pediatric deaths.

Anyone can submit anything to VAERS. To demonstrate, a doctor famously reported that the flu shot turned him into the Incredible Hulk.

The evidence of the COVID vaccine causing child deaths is, AFAICT, a single claim by a conflicted anti-vaccine political activist (Tracy Beth Hoeg).

And the FDA, of course dedicated to radical transparency in RFK's HHS, has refused to provide any details for the people to double-check the work.
There is no evidence linking COVID-19 vaccines to deaths in children. There is evidence that COVID causes serious harm — including long COVID, MIS-C, cardiac complications & diabetes.

This administration’s actions are dangerous, and the damage to the public and children may be irreversible
Big change: FDA to impose strict new vaccine requirements under RFK Jr ally

Vinay Prasad signaled changes to annual flu shots, concurrent vaccines + more

Prasad said his team found link between covid-19 shots and kids' deaths, necessitating a new approach overall

I cannot even begin to express my rage at this lie

reading this through me back into my pandemic EMT life, attempting to resuscitate a child experiencing a cardiac arrest secondary to COVID while a father says “we heard that the vaccine was riskier than COVID for kids” and a mother wails in agony
NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

Trump is an instinctive bigot, but he doesn’t have the attention span to be an ideologically committed white nationalist. He also craves approval from everyone (e.g. his Mamdani meeting). That’s why Miller’s role as Trump’s white nationalist whisperer has been so important. bsky.app/profile/atru...

If Joe Biden had claimed that he redesigned the hulls of Coast Guard cutters, we'd be way over in 25th amendment territory.
With Trump, it's so common that most Americans don't even notice it now.
Trump during his Thanksgiving call with service members: "We're ordered a lot of Coast Guard cutters. Brand new, beautiful, the best machines in the world. I'm a looks person. I wanted the hull to be perfect. You know, I sort of redesigned the hull a little bit. The hulls. But we ordered a lot."
