word of advice to anyone reading: tokyo godfathers is never not free on whatever streaming service offers free titles. at this point it is easier to watch this on your own time than some of the canonized all-timers like charlie brown or grinch. heavily recommend making time for it

All of those shorthands and tests ruin people's media literacy. There is an episode of Seinfeld where all women only bicker about shoes. It passes the Bechdel test, and is quite sexist... as long as you don't consider the meta commentary about men writing women.
