Hello to @moderation.bsky.app
I would like to file a complant of blatant bigotry against your
@moderation.bsky.app for discrimation against disabled ppl.

You have declared that a fully clothed person with a prosthetic leg and eye to somehow be "Adult Content"

Disability isn't "Adult content"

I could name a few but for disability reason and the Halloween season I am m going with In / Spectre

It’s got a very weird but cool metaplot with one of the coolest “action” scene culminations and it’s so openly & fearlessly blunt about disability … especially the reality of Kotoko‘s prosthetics.

Woodcut, depicting a woman in what appears to be conventional feminine attire, but with three-cornered hat, holding in her left arm an upright musket, its stock resting on the ground, and in her right, I think, a powder horn. A flag flies from battlements in the background.

A walk from Leeds to Goole, via the River Aire, the Aire and Calder Navigation, the Knottingley and Goole Canal, the New Junction Canal and the Dutch River, 6.45am to 9.52pm Friday 26 September.

How can even US authors file a claim? Surely the rights to the vast majority of books and articles are owned by publishers not authors.

Too many on the left still see autism as a “middle class issue.”
It’s not.
Being poor or working class just makes diagnosis near impossible.

Autism isn’t middle class.
Access to recognition is. 1/5

The Examiner, commenting on the trial of Henry Hunt, charged with treason after Peterloo in 1819. Sounds familiar. archive.org/details/sim_...
Screenshot of part of a newspaper column: 'Then follows a series of the most suspicious answers and interferences, as the reader will see in the proper place. We have no doubt that the grounds of conspiracy will at last be entirely confined to the inscriptions on the flags, and the pretence of military array; and then there will still remain three baffling points to consider, - First, whether similar flags have not been used on similar occasions with great harmlessness; - Second, whether all large bodies do not naturally fall into what is called military array, *except* when they are merely *riotous*; - and Third, whether the flags and the array, after all, have any thing to do with Mr. HUNT, and whether every man who accompanies, or meets an assembly, or gets up to address it, is responsible for what every other person in it may do.'

headline in my inbox: "The War on Tylenol". Except that it isn't? It's a eugenicist war on pregnant people, blaming them and their medical caregivers for autism, which the eugenicists regard as a fate worse than death. Focusing on Tylenol hides that fact.

I'm seeing so many takes around parts of the "ID card" melange, I have to add a few.

It's not about cards. It's about registers. A register is a definitive 'true source' of data, about people, places, buildings, whatever.

Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

Fascinating discussion by David Bentley Hart of Romans 5:12, pivoting on the translations of the preposition ἐφ’, grounding two very different theologies - God as saviour of all or God as judge of the individual; or, Gregory of Nyssa or John Calvin gospelconversations.substack.com/p/david-hart...

Flying national flags is dominating the news this week but I haven't seen any uses as innovative as Independent Labour Party politician John Wheatley and his comrades during the 1915 Glasgow rent strike unfurling a Union Jack to undermine attempts to evict the family of a wounded soldier.
