Visibly over 25.
Really like how THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND (2025) went from ‘this is fun but he’s basically playing the Tim Key character again’ isn’t he’ to ‘oh that’s actually lovely’. Great that they could show their chops off like that.

The 3+ year gap between Stranger Things series really gives you a lot of time to consider how much you really gave a shit about any of it.

Would have liked a 3pm kick off to go to today. Not sure I’m going to lament someone’s inability to watch a slate of televised games in another country in a tradition as old as sky sports itself.
This was going to be the first boxing day in years where I actually had the chance to sit in the pub & watch football all day. No family visiting, no commitments, no work...but it's one match & an evening one at that. Here it kicks off at 9pm. Everyone should be dozing off on the sofa by that point.
I’ve spoken to so many people around the world in the last two weeks on various calls and every single one of them, in Africa, North and South America, and South East Asia, wanted to know why they weren’t getting the Premier League football they were expecting. Had something happened etc. Big miss.

I know you have to guard against a lot of the racist Malthusian rabbit holes you can get down with this stuff, but - at a global level - we have to grapple with the fact at some point that we can’t just rely on some population Ponzi scheme for ever.
The UK will celebrate net emigration and depopulation come 2027.

And by 2028 it will start to realise, with an ageing society and low growth, what a really silly thing it has done.

The right will go "pro-natalist", the centre-left will be completely stuck.

Funny how you go from seeing your dad eat cheese and crackers and think it’s the most boring thing on earth to eat as a child to cheese and crackers becoming an almost transcendental experience as an adult.

If I want to hear what anybody has to contribute to this issue it’s definitely someone who went to an all girl’s boarding school
This is the second story in three days The Times has carried arguing against misogyny lessons in schools, which it describes as "some weird feminist attack on male children".

Great
Let’s just say most journalists know the feeling of ‘the editor wants this, but the facts are this, and somehow I must now elegantly reconcile them’. Credit to Andrew for actually asking though, because it ends up as a very neat example of a generational divide
