I will probably never have an experience like this again in my lifetime, so I will always treasure my summer with this family of burrowing owls. 💕🪶

Tough time for mental health for people who aren’t horrible monsters so I took some pictures of things in my garden that made me happy yesterday. Pomegranate, passionfruit blossom, banana. 🌱 #gardening

I was trying to photograph Groove-billed Anis this morning, but I was photobombed by his scofflaw.

Incredible footage of a rarely filmed large 3 dimensional school of circling Cownose Rays. I was really psyched to have captured this. The 3 dimensional school was circling on a horizontal plane and also on a vertical plane.

The largest schools of rays I've seen in over 10 years in the Tampa Bay area. These are a few more of the shots I've taken of the Cownose Rays schools (aka fevers) during the 2 month period they were in the area.

Dolphins doing high jumps this morning in the intracoastal waterway near Clearwater, Florida. I've probably captured close to 1,000 jumps on camera over the years but I think these might be the highest I've filmed.

It's what's for breakfast. This juvenile reddish egret (I think) was fishing in the shallows this morning at the local wildlife refuge. Successfully, I might add. That's some serious focus. #photography #birds #EastCoastKin #wildlife #wildlifephotography

Monday morning. It was no use ignoring that a new week of woe-inducing work and tedious toil had begun. One had to risk an eye, Owliver concluded. "But no more than ONE eye", Owlga pointed out.

It’s #ToadallyTuesday and you should post toads and toad-related content. #herps

LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY. 😍 Lifer! I didn't get a pic of the first one I saw, but I was confident of the ID, and then this gorgeous creature just *posed* for me. Nelson's Sparrow might be my favorite sparrow now. #birds
Photo of a GORGEOUS Nelson's Sparrow, with its gorgeous orange eyebrow, throat, and streaked bib and that striking grey cheek patch, on a thick twig against a blurred background of green and yellow and orange fall dune grasses

Goth band album cover.

Groove-billed Anis are fabulous birds. A type of cuckoo, this species lives in social groups of up to 10 birds and they collectively guard their territory and even share a nest together!

These birds were taking a break today at @tapirvalley.bsky.social to groom each other.
Five black birds perch closely together on a branch, their glossy feathers and long tails standing out against a blurred green forest background.
