Just gonna say this again for games sphere cus we get the same question:

Networking doesn't mean schmoozing up to famous people, it means making friends with your peers. Then in 10 years, 20, one of you might be famous? And sure you're still helping each other cus well yeah friends.

Make. Friends.
Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.

Because "disruptors" have typically never done ANYTHING. They re-invent the wheel; they lie and cheat, and make shit up, and we need to stop pretending that "disruption" is a net positive, or that "disruptors" are anything but grifters
On DOGE’s watch, federal spending did not go down at all. It went up. But is still led to cuts that closed offices, canceled programs and deprived people of food, medicine and other aid.

This is what the ENTIRE GOP is trying to hide.

Again, Congress has been briefed on this. Congress knows this, has known this for some time. The entire GOP is covering this up. They know. They do not care about victims. They are accomplices after the fact and they all belong in prison next to Trump
“He raped me.”

“Donald J Trump had raped her along with Jeffrey Epstein.”

“She was found with her head ‘blown off’… there was no way it was a suicide.”

Now we’re starting to see why Trump was hiding the Epstein files, and it probably gets much worse.

i was feeling pretty bummed about this whole thing until i remembered that this skybus of strangers isn’t a valid statistical sample. (math!) the world is still filled with people who will raise their hand for others. i hope you’ll try to be one of them.
“alright y’all. we’re going to leave ‘em behind.” one more person dashes onto the plane a minute later. “welcome aboard. just so you know, half these people voted you off the island.” light laughter.
“wow y’all. ok raise your hand if you think we should ditch them.” over half the plane goes up. “dang y’all. it’s christmas time.” woman next to me says out loud “I don’t care. I want to get home.”

damn. so do those 2 people.

didn’t think my faith in humanity would be tested on a one hour flight.

the SW flight attendant just said “in the spirit of democracy, we’re going to take a vote. we need to wait 15-20 minutes for 2 more people. raise your hand if you think we should wait for them.” having been left behind by AA in the past, mine shoots up. but way too few other hands go up.

first flight was late. ran from one end of airport to the other to make connecting flight out. a few more ran on after me. flight’s scheduled to get to its destination at 11:20 pm. there are no connecting flights on this airline that late. so its everyone’s last stop.

It was never about foreign control or national security.
The US TikTok sale has been signed. The company will be controlled by a joint venture including Oracle, Silver Lake, Andreessen Horowitz, Abu Dhabi-based MGX. Adding a UAE company really makes it clear that this was never about national security concerns.

Ending the SAVE student loan program and forcing 8 million people into repayment will juice the affordability crisis even further. Borrowers told me they will have to cut their budgets, find new side gigs, and don't get what the public policy point of this is.
