She/her//sí/í. Done working around the world, happy to be back home in the gorgeous Kingdom of Kerry, ensconced in Munster, the true home of northern hemisphere rugby. Lucky to have such wonderful niblings who keep me in touch with this 21st Century stuff.

In 2011 I was playing piano and singing background music for a wedding that was filmed for some show on UK Living. I did one song and the producer came over and asked me "not to play any more depressing songs like that..."

The song was Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World.

4/ When it comes to the ongoing transatlantic battle over digital regulations, three separate stories drew headlines this week that together indicate an escalation of the dispute between Washington and Brussels and crystallize the broader narrative of which they are a part, writes Dean Jackson.

For those keeping score that’s the US Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of State, and Vice President all making noises that they willing to go to the mattresses with the EU over a corporate fine of X.

The $250 million investment Musk put into getting Trump reelected was clearly money well spent.

What a weird slant and headline. ‘Europe’ is not ‘defending’ its Amazon frontier, France is. French Guyana is in South America, not Europe; it’s a remnant of the French colonial legacy and ‘Europe’ has no role ‘defending’ it
