Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

post-top-surgery nips are essentially always stuck At Attention, so there are certain shirts I can never wear without looking like I’m freezing or perving 😅🤣

And honestly! I’ve grown fondness for a lot more GNC things for myself with age too! And I kinda love the idea of not having them at all now!

This may sound extremely silly, but… I think I’m gonna ask my doctor if I can book a consult to have my nipples removed LOL…

For context I had top surgery in 2017, and I decided to keep my nips at the time, but the older I’ve gotten the more they just kinda drive me crazy? 😅

to want to put in the extra effort to something I didn’t feel strongly about like math, he told me he understood that. But that if I ever changed my mind, he’d be happy to help!

I dunno, it seems like such a small thing, but it really made such a difference for me growing up.

My other favourite thing about Mr. S was that he always encouraged me, but never pushed me too hard. He would point out me that I clearly had a pretty strong grasp of math, and that if I applied more practise I could be really good at it… but when I expressed being too “lazy” (tired, depressed,)
