If you're willing to throw marginalized people under the bus to bring back the status quo, we are simply not fighting the same battle.

Things will only get better if they get better for ALL Americans.

Anything less is failure.

I get why TechCrunch would write it this way, but I largely disagree with this framing. The broad conversation here is about power, respect, control and whether the voices of the vulnerable are taken seriously. This is the story of a leader and a team showing that they don’t get that.

Earlier this year, Dr. Jane Goodall sat down for an interview for Brad Falchuk’s new Netflix series, Famous Last Words.

The premise of the series is to interview people on the condition that the interview not air until the subject has passed away.

went to go see Alien: Maternity, a parody musical about trans space lesbians trying to raise a xenomorph, and I liked it just as much as you’d expect me to like something fitting that description
photo of a black box stage show. Two trans women (one with a significant chest wound) stand facing a woman in a xenomorph costume (helmet, leather body suit, fishnets, boots). A scientist lays on the ground nearby.

“Lorenzo D’Agostino, a journalist and another flotilla participant, said after returning to Istanbul that Thunberg was “wrapped in the Israeli flag and paraded like a trophy” – a scene described with disbelief and anger by those who witnessed it.”

Once again, they are truly psychotic.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).
Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist):

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

post-top-surgery nips are essentially always stuck At Attention, so there are certain shirts I can never wear without looking like I’m freezing or perving 😅🤣

And honestly! I’ve grown fondness for a lot more GNC things for myself with age too! And I kinda love the idea of not having them at all now!

This may sound extremely silly, but… I think I’m gonna ask my doctor if I can book a consult to have my nipples removed LOL…

For context I had top surgery in 2017, and I decided to keep my nips at the time, but the older I’ve gotten the more they just kinda drive me crazy? 😅

Well heck to whoever treated it as a joke! I know from personal experience how hard that can be, and what a change it makes to be able to reduce it! I’m in a not great place with it rn myself, but I want to try working at it again!

to want to put in the extra effort to something I didn’t feel strongly about like math, he told me he understood that. But that if I ever changed my mind, he’d be happy to help!

I dunno, it seems like such a small thing, but it really made such a difference for me growing up.

My other favourite thing about Mr. S was that he always encouraged me, but never pushed me too hard. He would point out me that I clearly had a pretty strong grasp of math, and that if I applied more practise I could be really good at it… but when I expressed being too “lazy” (tired, depressed,)

models save lives, man. As I get older, one of my biggest hopes is that I can be that kind of adult for even one kid in my life. Someone who makes them feel heard and respected and cared for.
