It doesn’t matter how you voted. The fact is that there has been a hateful rhetoric coming from the top that has been fueling violence and divide in this country. I dislike Charlie Kirk, but I dislike gun violence and division more. We cannot lose ourselves to this.

It turns out that protecting hate speech did not create the conditions to protect other kinds of speech; instead, it protected hate and allowed hate movements to take over all the institutions of that might have defended the rest of us.

The scariest part of their plan to me is the registry gleaned from health (and likely SSA and other) records & the designation of all trans people as "mentally unstable". But that's largely being ignored because guns make better headlines.

Thread I created explaining a part of scientific review and why vaccines cause Autism is bullshit just from the angle of how awful the conflicts of interest were in the study. Not to mention small sample size, relying on anecdotes from desperate parents, and it’s been disproven again and again.
That’s not how scientific journals work- at least that’s how they should when facists aren’t in office. For those who don’t know, scientific journals work by unpaid anonymous peer review, and retractions usually only happen if a study is bad and many scientists say it’s bad.
