Huge swathes of our elites stewing in there with Nazis and tying themselves in knots over obviously bad things. All because they're addicted to counting 'likes' and notifications and watching people be rude to each other online. Never thought the end of liberalism would look quite so pathetic

I very genuinely think answering this question is obscenely important. Even if it's something as boring as 'Musk can threaten consequences, particularly through Trump / US, if they shut it down'.

But not a single soul is being forced in any way to keep using it as a comms platform: no one.
If a website appeared overnight that gave hundreds of millions of users the opportunity to create CSAM you'd expect governments to shut it down quickly, so the question is why X gets a pass when it's done just that?

1/2 🧵Tell an authoritarian how much you hate him, and he gets a surge of energy, and comes at you even stronger.

Publicly ridicule him...and laugh at him, it's like you wield a magical power.

Disturbing article.

This is likely what is happening in 🇨🇦 as well, and it's disgusting. 🤬They buy them up, charge exorbitant rents, plus it skyrockets home prices, so most can't afford even the most basic of homes. Why is this not regulated somehow?!
How corporations are buying up houses — robbing families of the American Dream
