CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.

(WSJ) Yup, leave it to Mr. Stupid, Mr. Trump, to cancel all offshore wind projects that would have generated enough electrical power to power all of Manhattan. Hard to imagine how much of an idiot this guy is.

Lord knows I'm not a fan of any of this corporate media consolidation — Netflix and Paramount both should be barred from buying WBD.

But in terms of sending a message, would be stellar if everyone watched Good Night and Good Luck on Netflix together next Sunday when 60 Minutes is on the air.

Transgender people deserve the same chance to thrive and live fulfilling lives as everyone else.

Shame on Republicans for trying to strip away healthcare from vulnerable children.

And shame on anyone who votes to deny care to families trying to do right by their kids.

Nurses are the backbone of our health care system.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with nurses at Northwestern Medical Center in Vermont. They are doing a great job.

I look forward to working with them to improve wages and working conditions at the hospital.

From 2018 to 2024, the tax rate paid by eight major retailers was slashed from 30% to just 17.5%.

The CEOs of those major retailers were paid a collective $1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the average worker at those stores was paid less than $32,000 in 2024.

Nothing trickled down.

Your Friday reminder that trickle-down economics is a cruel hoax.

Cruel because it's used by the super-rich to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

And a hoax because nothing has ever trickled down.

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
