Wishing you all a restful holiday.

There's a lot of pressure on many people out there today to put on a show; but remember whatever way you choose to spend today you're still loved.

It's been a very difficult year, but if you're seeing this; you made it and that's the greatest gift of all.

The best xmas gift I got today? Finding out the referral for the adult ASD service was accepted.

I do appreciate they give a rough number of how long I should expect to wait which is 60 months! (5 Years)

Can't say I'm surprised, anything tied with mental health is desperately underfunded.

A new report for Parliament shows UK trade with Israel has been increasing amid the genocide.

But Israel accounts for just 0.3% of UK trade and is only Britain’s 42nd largest trading partner, meaning imposing sanctions would be easy if there were political will.

Doesn’t feel good that the head of BBC News Content is instructing reporters to refer to trans people with slurs. If this leak is real it raises questions about who made this decision, who was consulted, and why the BBC chose to ignore its own editorial guidelines on slurs and offensive language
EXCLUSIVE
The BBC has circulated leaked guidance telling journalists to describe trans women as “biological males”.

Clarity should not come at the cost of dignity. #bbc #humanrights #journalism #transparency #transrights

Reminder for folks: Industrial action and strikes aren't the problem!

If anything so many clinics are over-capacity and not correctly funded to manage patient case loads; which is where legislators fall off and frontline NHS staff who are desperately trying to make things work get scapegoated.
How to tell if your appointment was cancelled due to a Doctors strike
Answer you can’t

On a average day in the NHS hospitals cancel 50,000 appts
Strikes days affect 11,000 appts, apparently🤔

Blaming the Drs for a broken system is giving NHS Management/Govt the excuse they want

Get a load of this little guy! Cute but full of territorial rage.

Beautiful colouration on this lil' one, spotted up at botanic station earlier on.

Sinn Féin should stop dodging and tell the truth on fox hunting. Their Dáil vote yesterday exposes exactly where they stand.

Fox hunting is vile cruelty dressed up as sport. Sinn Féin wrap themselves in animal welfare language, then repeatedly vote to protect blood sports north and south.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we honour the lives of trans and nonbinary people lost to violence, discrimination, and despair. We stand with those who face injustice and prejudice every day.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance.

It is a solemn day where we remember those we have lost this year and years past.

An ever present reminder of the world we live in being unkind and inhospitable to trans people for a multitude of reasons.

After 2 weeks of calling back and forth between the GP and Hospital for a very delayed gastro medication (which is an important one), I can finally go pick it up today.

Hats off to my GP surgery for being transparent about the situation, and getting me on with a GP this morning to sort it.

Belfast city centre isn’t broken - it’s being kept that way. While empty luxury flats and derelict sites dominate, real people are shut out and green space is just a buzzword. Cllr Brian Smyth calls out the hollow “regeneration” narrative and blighting Belfast’s future.

COP30 isn’t another climate summit - it’s a fight for survival and democracy. Empty words can’t stop a burning planet.

The 1.5°C target is slipping away as rich countries stall real action and finance. Climate colonialism lives on.
