Lobbyist And Government Contractor Bought JD Vance’s Home For $170,000 Over Asking Price
The buyer, a Trump appointee during his first term, denies any political motive—calling the $1.9 million deal purely market-driven.

Wary of speaking it into existence but between Trump's debilitating case of Permanently 1989 Brain Disorder and given the other creeps he's appointed, I feel like we have to consider the possibility of Karl Malone getting appointed to this job.

This will date me slightly, but I'm just old enough to remember as a kid when (insert James Coburn voice) The Phone Company literally owned your phone. If anything went wrong, they would send someone out to look at it. And they were incredibly solid and heavy.

I'm going to make a curious recommendation. If you're interested in D.H. Lawrence's "Women in Love", I encourage you to watch Ken Russell's film first. I think that it's one of Russell's two best and it's surprisingly restrained for him. Crucially, he manages to capture Lawrence's tone and mood.

It is personally very funny to me that Donald Trump signed a kind-of-insane trade policy today (25% tariffs on any country that continues importing oil from Venezuela after April 2nd, which most of the world’s major economies do right now) and it’s getting no coverage for uhh obvious reasons
