This is Brenda and Linda. They were brought into the shelter together, and Brenda had no interest in being separated from her friend. She jumped the kennel wall to get to Linda, and made sure everyone knew they're a package deal. The best news? It worked: They were adopted together. 14/10 for both

The hypocrisy is astounding and I’m stunned that it is happening here. We are supposed to be better than this! Who voted for this? Can’t decide if they are stupid or evil.
In a society that truly values babies, postpartum moms would be surrounded by care and support. First time mom Nayra Guzmán certainly found herself surrounded earlier this year. But it was by ICE agents who arrested her for the crime of being brown.
