Just a dad from Ohio seeking refuge in this echo chamber to help keep some semblance of sanity.
Finished King Sorrow by @joe-hill.bsky.social last night and man, what a story! Incredibe characters throughout. I actually miss these guys after spending 900 pages with them. So many surprising twists and turns. Felt like I was white knuckling a roller coaster the whole time. Bravo!

Hey @stephenking.bsky.social I just got cast as Paul Sheldon in a local theatre production of Misery. Any tips or insights into the character you'd like to share? Can't tell you how thrilled I am to be bringing your work to life on stage! Huge honor!

“There’s too many Americans on SNAP!”

Yes there are. Too many corporations refuse to pay a living wage.

Huge companyies are encouraging their employees to apply for SNAP because they don’t pay them enough to survive.

The government encourages this & then blames the poor.

The reason 42 million Americans are on SNAP is because employers aren’t paying living wages.

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
