Democrats are expected to provide think tank level policy proposals for every societal ill under the sun (fully paid for too, natch!!) while Republicans are just like "we'll figure something out" and the media nods along.🙃

I'm reminded that when he left office, Bill Clinton had the highest approval rating and net approval rating of any president, upon leaving office, in the post WW2 era.

40% of the voters are hardcore GOP. It's always been this way. Hoover caused the Great Depression and got 40% of the vote. 5 percent of the voters are hardcore leftists and maybe 1 in 5 will vote for the Dem. 55% of the country is moderate and the dem has to win at least 85% of the moderates to win.
