IUPAT President @jimmy-iupat.bsky.social is right:

Temporary Protected Status recipients are rigorously vetted, pay taxes, and do work in critical industries. They are part of our communities and our unions—they deserve respect and protection.

America’s unions will keep fighting for them.

Trump describes himself as the first Jewish President.

No. But he is a schmuck, a shlemiel, a meshugge putz who only ever knows how to kvetch. He has done bupkis for America, only himself. He’s all spiel, but he’s just a ligner, a gonif. He’s the ultimate paskudnik.

We gave Jay Bhattacharya an opportunity to clarify his vaccine stance: does he REALLY believe that the vaccine is worse than the disease? Instead, he launched into a defense of MAHA as the future of scientific inquiry, and never really gave us a straight answer...

That's this whole administration, I think, they were all very obviously deeply wounded by their upbringings in ways that just broke them as human beings.

They are irreparably hurt people channeling their rage at their own spiritual wounds into violence at an incompressible scale.

This isn't the first time she's done it, but I just can't get over Susie Wiles making a talking point of how she can run Trump because she's had to mollify an alcoholic father.

There is so much going on there very much including dramatic irony at a level you rarely see outside of Greek tragedy.

I *hate* Forrest Gump. Not only is it...wait for it...

totally reactionary

...it's a mess in its timelines

The moral of Forrest Gump is "be a moron and obey and never question and you'll prosper, and if you don't, you'll get AIDS and die."
damn, really? Forrest Gump?

It speaks volumes that White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, hand-picked by Trump himself, says he "has an alcoholic's personality" and uses tactics to deal with him like she does her alcoholic father. This is apparently "leadership" to the GOP.

Hilarious. The WH had all the Cabinet members simultaneously put out statements supporting Susie Wiles after the Vanity Fair article came out.

One of the biggest moments of my career:
USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

To my knowledge, it's been 20 strikes and three months (Sept. 15) since any of these announcement directly alleged that the narcotics were actually bound for the United States. That announcement was per the president. www.justsecurity.org/124002/timel...

I cried the first time I saw it. And Mary Tyler Moore should have gotten an Oscar over Sissy Spacek. It's a movie that hurts on different levels as you rewatch it at different points in your life.

Hard to believe the best way to respond to offensive presidential posts is to circulate screen shots. Imagine if they were re-rendered in crayon, or read (w/o deviation) by a creepy puppet or an unflattering Clutch Cargo effect -- and that became THE dominant way anyone quoted or reacted to them.
