And here we are. Another damn’d thick, square book. A real wrist-sprainer. UK edition (pictured) has endpapers showing Crick and Brenner’s blackboard and colour plates. Both U.K. and US editions have sections heralded by a double page photo as here. Loads of illustrations. Out in November!
Cover and spine of CRICK, my biography of Francis Crick Endpapers and inside flap of book Double page photo of Crick at blackboard with section title The Central Problem Colour plate showing Crick at Cold Spring Harbor in 1954.

Neuronal diversity is written in transcriptional codes 🧬. But what is the logic of these codes that define cell types and wiring patterns?
To find out we built a #scRNAseq developmental atlas of the Drosophila nerve cord and linked it to the #connectome 🪰🧠

The staff at the Written Archives Centre were incredibly helpful in squirrelling out material relating to Crick's early broadcasts on the BBC. That would now be impossible, and those letters would remain unstudied. These abrupt changes will hamper our understanding of the BBC and its role.

Sad news - Catherine was an exceptional cell biologist with a force-of-nature personality that brought passion and integrity to everything that she did. She will be greatly missed.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague Catherine Rabouille.

Catherine was senior group leader at the Hubrecht Institute, an exceptional cell biologist, a passionate mentor, and a driving force for diversity and inclusion in science.
