The BBC has been told to 'correct errors quickly' by the Prime Minister. So why doesn't that seem to apply to Scotland? Xander Elliards asks✍️

Scotland is powering the UK and is still a colony.

Scottish wind power is slashing UK reliance on gas and speeding electrification, but a flood of southbound power is straining its grid, costing consumers 100s of millions annually.
US Energy Sec Chris Wright called the situation "Lunacy"
The UK calls it an engineering challenge👇

David Gramling's The Invention of Monolingualism critiques it as a modern invention. See also Russell's Nice White Anglophones:Power, Privilege and Monolingualism.
It remains an alien concept to many people that speaking English as a second language is not the same as not speaking English fluently.

A large number of children in the UK may appear in the statistics as 'second language speakers' but are in fact fully bilingual or even multilingual.
This is a really appalling editorial error on BBC Question Time

"Apparently one in three children don't speak English as a first language, why does this matter?"

Chair says "have English as a second language"

Caption changes the meaning entirely
"Don't speak fluent English"

Well...I had been dreading this episode, assuming it was going to be a 'Stephen Flynn-bating' session, but from the outset the unionists were at each other's throats.
I'm hoping this will be the approach during the run up to the election.
My blood pressure never went into the red, that much. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Fellow Indy supporters! Brace yourselves for a hatchet job on the Scottish Government on tomorrow's Question Time. No doubt spearheaded by Malky Offord, probably bedecked in Reform UK's new tartan (wtf?), and aided by Labour's fork-tongued Johanna Baxter.

Is Malcolm Offord now Reform UK’s spokesperson in Scotland?
By Liz S “Storm Brann” you say. Well tomorrow there may be another kind of storm……one created by one of our many many UK nemeses , BBC QT and UK politicians (as in all…

Please remember this next time you hear Nigel Farage and Reform say we must leave the ECHR to control our borders
🚨 “Can I tell you how many times in the last 45 years the European Court of Human Rights has ruled against the UK when it comes to deporting people from this country - only 13 times - in 45 years”

Hugely important point made by @vicderbyshire.bsky.social 👏

Corporate welfare is out of control.

One example - Drax produces electricity by burning trees, most expensive electricity, UK's biggest single polluter.

In 2024, Drax had £1.06bn operating profit, paid £100m dividend, £300m in share buyback.

Received billions in subsidies for decades. Why?
