New improved old soul!
When people start talking about streaming services, I start referring to them in the convo as screaming services.

BlueSky’s ‘Latest skeet first, scroll down into older posts’ format is the main obstacle keeping me from visiting here more.

I’ll spend hours reading my Mastdon timeline from oldest to newest.

Here, if the first few posts I see don’t grab me, I’m out.

I can’t even begin to think about what this means what I might prefer; although I do think it could be gamed negatively; eg, a troll attack with a claque of ‘likes’ raising their ‘reply’ in your thread.

The chronological stuff confuses me because -is it for your entire timeline? Or just replies?

It was 34° last night, but by 10 or 11 this morning, it was 54°, and I saw a terrapin roadside, neck outstretched, sunning itself.

No, I don’t know exactly how it survives winter, but isn’t it about time for it to find its hidey-hole?

Before SCTV, many of its stars appeared on Party Game, the charades game show made at CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario.

When Catherine O'Hara did Letterman, Paul Shaffer would play the Party Game theme song:

The kid that lived across the hall from Ralph Kramden.

He really hated having to take the bus everywhere.
Some sort of short range neural paralyzer, for kids

A record store owner came to me with a design challenge. He needed record bins that could hold over 75 albums, be broken down and stacked, and would give an open, airier feel to his shop

The solution was original design. It holds 180 albums, the bins stack, as do the frames

Craig Bond 007 films work so much better if binge watched while the earlier film is still fresh in memory.

Just fell down a Rabbit Hole of a Reddit discussion on ‘creepy Beatles music’ and realized many people were mentioning favorite songs of mine that helped get me hooked on the Beatles, like ‘Blue Jay Way.’

Also discovered an attributed bootleg recording I never heard.

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

I’m starting to see a small resurgence in music touring at independent small venues.

Vultures swooped in during Covid, buying out properties, making them a part of their network tied into ticketing vendors, making a night out to see music a bureaucratic app driven logistic nightmare.

So the co-creator of Space Ghost and one of the guys who basically helped invent Adult Swim today works as a delivery driver for Amazon. I'm referring to Andy Merrill (voice of Brak, who put together the SG pilot in a storage closet at Turner) who apparently got extremely screwed in the deal.
