Your 4 year old doesn't know that you selfishly stole his vaccines and gave him a preventable illness that destroyed his immune system and led to years of suffering. But your 10 year old will google that shit. And they will never forgive you. And you deserve that hate plus more.

@tomgrossi.bsky.social I'm a Packers fan, in the UK, and new to football. Is it okay to cheer for a divisional rival? I feel like the Bears, Lions, and Vikings are OUR rivals. Other teams shouldn't be allowed to beat them. The Bears may suck, but we should be proud of them tonight. NFC North 4eva

Ghibli movies are remembered as being cozy by their audience because the coziness (which is definitely there) is always in contrast with horror, or depression, or loss. A movie that’s just cute, fun coffee shop hangouts would never be remembered with such emotional attachment.

old Soviet joke for our times:

Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesn’t buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what he’s up to.

Guy says: “looking for an obituary.”

Vendor says “those are towards the back of the paper, comrade.”

Guy says: “not the one I’m looking for.”

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I didn't follow your argument this morning as why cutting foreign aid to pay for defense was idiot's-corner-worthy yesterday, and why you belong in idiot's corner today for suggesting that. Why is it okay now it's happened, but not okay in hypothetical yesterday?
