Fiverr is shutting down Fiverr Workspace, f.k.a. ANDCO. I was hoping to switch freelancing software anyway, so do recommend alternatives for time tracking + client management + invoicing + expense tracking, whether one app or several.

The Paralives delay is another demonstration of why The Sims have so few direct competitors. Making a good game in that genre is *hard*.

Walked into a gaming store and immediately overheard a staffer telling a customer how they’re sold out of Daggerfall and how they’re trying to find a distributor with copies. That’s one more anecdote about the hot new game.

It feels good to know that I'm at the point where my freelance rates are comfortably within the median for my industry, according to @efafreelancers.bsky.social. I have more room to grow my rates and my services, but no longer am I underselling myself.

Every once in a while I'll get to tell someone, and they'll suddenly understand what I mean, that PbtA doesn't begin and end with the fiction, it begins and ends with the conversation.
"Fiction first" is an idea that came to PbtA later, from I don't really know where.

Whenever I hear someone dogmatically saying "the moves MUST begin and end with the fiction" I always want to crack open Apocalypse World and pull out pretty much any example from the book.

I downloaded a tool to bulk download my Kindle files because Amazon is restricting their file downloads tomorrow. Even though I typically just use Kindle as intended, I want to have the archive just in case.

Its one-more-turnability is real, but the UI & UX reminds me of more Victoria 3 than Crusader Kings 3 in launch quality.
