UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) offers funding opportunities, 81% of awards go to white applicants, 1% to black.
The statistics are likely to discourage black scholars from pursuing academic/science careers.

I believe it is inherent on us to challenge the morality of those people we come across who intend to vote for Farage.
IMHO they should be challenged about their racism; but I know it’ll mean ugly conservations.
