The 'revelation' here is a bizarre NYT hit piece on a researcher who said she wanted to make sure her findings were accurate before publishing them.

I recommend Seattleites make this year's election all about Trump and Musk. Attend candidate panels and ask what candidates are going to do to protect the vulnerable and what they're going to do about our cratering budget. Ask what they think about increasing surveillance in these times.

Every so often I look at the paper of record to see if it is quickly communicating to readers that they are living through a constitutional crisis, and the answer consistently is "no."
They are covering the topics, but in the name of journalistic balance, not conveying the alarm.

Senator Cantwell did not attend the meeting, so her staff was left to explain many of her actions. First up, she voted in favor of Trump's Treasury nominee, Scott Bessent who is currently most famous for turning over the keys to the payment system to Elon and the Doge boys.
