Like, surely it’s obvious that the purpose of collective society is to provide welfare. That’s the whole deal. The whole reason we cooperate. Or do anything together at all. For increased security. Some of you might remember a few years ago when I posted about my son's friend, who is a member of the Boston Ballet. Well, apparently, he's been promoted from Company Member to Second Soloist! And this year he'll be doing several different roles in The Nutcracker.

I started at BU in 1989, & started working with multiply-disabled, medically fragile children shortly thereafter at the Massachusetts Association for the Blind. I remember lining up in 1991 at a local clinic to receive the Hep B vaccine. EVERYONE was eager to get it. Not one person was complaining.
