"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

A truly great idea. 10,000 ethical assets freely available.

There’s no excuse for resorting to so-called AI with this and the *many* other assets you can use without resorting to laundered plagiarism.

Support real artists, not con artists.
More coverage of our 10,000 Game Assets Pack, this time on Dexerto. We really do appreciate all the support everyone is giving this - basically it makes the last year of working on it full time worthwhile & spurs us on to create more assets!! www.dexerto.com/gaming/indie... #gamedev #indiedev

I started at BU in 1989, & started working with multiply-disabled, medically fragile children shortly thereafter at the Massachusetts Association for the Blind. I remember lining up in 1991 at a local clinic to receive the Hep B vaccine. EVERYONE was eager to get it. Not one person was complaining.

The hepatitis B vaccine had been recommended for all newborns since 1991.

From 1990-2019, acute hepatitis B infections reported among children and teens fell 99 percent. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/w...
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

Society would be so much better if we just lined up all these weird, drug-addled, asshole tech bros against some aunties with sandals and let them fucking HAVE IT. It's so obvious none of these people have been corrected in their entire lives, and it's annoying that everyone is too afraid to do it.

Rudolph gets all the love, so let’s talk about the names of Santa’s other reindeer.

dasher | noun | one that dashes
dancer | noun | one that dances
prancer | noun | one that walks or moves in a spirited manner

Ok, those three are easy to understand.

I have to assume that a lot of these parents have never had to be genuinely afraid for their children’s lives, because that is something that changes you on a fundamental level. And that’s just not a state of affairs that was possible any time before vaccines, when HALF of kids didn’t grow up

USPS is a service, not a business. By definition, it cannot "lose" money. It costs money to operate. Its responsibility is not to be a revenue stream, it's to deliver the mail. We don't call the defense budget a "trillion-dollar loss".

Right-wing framing doesn't serve anyone.
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.

Liver and onions.
My mother sent me to Weight Watchers camp for THIRTEEN WEEKS one summer, and they served liver and onions twice a fucking week (clearly one of their weight loss ploys). The liver was GREEN. Just the thought of it makes me gag.
Does anyone else have a food they hate beyond reason and just won't eat no matter how well someone prepares it? I don't necessarily mean a whole dish, it can be a single ingredient. For some people it's the thing where cilantro tastes like soap to them.
