Solent based businessman. Likes integrity and competence in politicians. Not had to block anyone on here yet.
I was having dinner at the Thai in Wandsworth Town when my date said “Oh look, there’s that bloke from the Channel 4 property programme”. I looked up and said “oh yes”, but I was looking at Kevin McCloud on the table in front of me, while she had spotted Phil Spencer on the table behind 🤷‍♂️
Please quote this with the time you didn’t interact with someone famous - eg one time I was in Cardiff the same weekend as Willem Dafoe (but I didn’t see him or even know he was there until he appeared on the telly later)
Please quote this with your major interactions with massive celebrities. eg “I was married to the pope for fifteen years”

Does he think The Handmaid’s Tale is an instruction manual?
Hands down least “masculine” person I met covering tech. One lunch I had with him in Palo Alto (he was urging me to run for mayor and wanted to give me $) I recall thinking what an incredibly whiny boy (I think I told someone at the time: what a limp dick) and could not get away fast enough.

I had the CD of this album. Half way through there is a break between tracks and Tom Petty says something like “Hello CD listeners, there will now be a pause where people will turn over their LPs”

Never have I seen such a perfect example of Schrödinger's Migrant.

Zia Yusuf, asked whose PIP Reform would cut, talks about "foreign nationals". Less than a minute later, same "foreign nationals" are taking all the jobs and damning British youth to life on PIP.

🤡 Utter clownshow. ~AA

This explains a lot
this from my piece on charlie kirk is probably the most important takeaway if you want to know why bad faith, right-wing voices in media are treated as just another set of peers

Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Gratitude is given freely. Demanding it disqualifies you from getting it. Demanding it from a country fighting for its life like Ukraine is cowardly and repellent, especially when your own administration is enmeshed in a deeply corrupt relationship with that country's oppressor.

I guess as it’s an offence to lie to the FBI, you just have to tell him he’s a twat if you see him
This has to be one of the biggest opsec fails I've ever seen in my life. The actual director of the FBI driving around in the most conspicuous vehicle imaginable made even more so by it being neon red.

Did people listen to Rudolf Hess in the 30s and think “what a bloody idiot!”?

Overheard on the high street from an exasperated grandmother: “Now she won’t wear the lovely jumpers I’ve knitted her because the wool the comes from sheeps!”. Somehow, I think that might not be the only reason.
