When they came for the Federalist Society and Leonard Leo I didn’t do anything b/c I wasn’t in the Federalist Society or Leonard Leo. Although, tbh, I did laugh out so loud my wife came to see if I was okay. At this rate the guys at the Heritage Foundation should be worried next.

Excellent piece on Miller on habeas. Far superior to the surprisingly both-sides-ish coverage by some media.

What Miller is claiming the power to do isn’t questionable or dubious. It would be anti-constitutional usurpation.

148. Suspending Habeas Corpus
In response to adverse rulings in numerous immigration cases, Stephen Miller is raising the specter of suspending habeas. His argument is factually and legally nuts, but it's worth explaining *why.*

There’s something almost religious, cultlike, about the bizarrely contrived language of the police talking about killing someone. The ritualistic passive voice with indistinct causality just popping up in there like a mantra.

WTF? FBI agents arrested a Milwaukee county judge on Friday, accusing her of shielding an immigrant from federal authorities. The allegation? That Judge Hannah Dugan “intentionally misdirected federal agents away from” someone they were pursuing, according to a now-deleted post by Mr. Patel.

Here we go again. A little more than a month since they issued a stop work order & then rescinded, the Trump admin went all in again attacking immigrant kids. Our programs serves thousands of kids every year who would otherwise be forced to go to court alone — their futures & safety is at stake!
#BreakingNews On 3/21/25 we received a near total termination of our federal contract for legal services under the Unaccompanied Children Program (UCP). No child should ever face a heartless immigration system w/o a lawyer by their side. #SaveUCP
